Retired President for Singapore Amateure Boxing Association (now known as Singapore Boxing Federation)

Won Singapore Open title from 1968 to 1976

In 1969, he won the National Championship and went on to represent Singapore in the South East Asian Peninsular Games (SEAP Games) in Bangkok, which he won a bronze medal.

Won the Boxing Gold Medal at the 1971 SEAP Games after defaeting SEAP Champion Vanla Dawla

Represented Singapore at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany

Won the silver medal at the 1973 SEAP Games

Won a bronze medal at the 1973 British Commonwealth Games in New Zealand

1973 Sportsman of the Year by the SNOC, in recognition for his contribution to boxing and sports in Singapore.

Won silver at the 1975 SEAP Games in Bangkok.

In late 1976, Kadir announced his retirement after the President's Cup in Jakarta. He retired with a record of 11 losses in over 100 fights and reigned as Singapore champion for eight years.

In 1985, the national team won several international medals, including its first Southeast Asian Games gold in 12 years. He was named Coach of the Year by the SNOC for that year, making him the second person after bowler Henry Tan to receive both the Sportsman and Coach of the Year honours.

In 2024 , formally inducted into Singapore Sport Hall Of Fame by Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam

Coach Abang Saad
Coach Abang Saad used to be a national boxer under Coach Kadir and was his assistant at KBS. He has taught many of the current boxing coaches such as Ridhwan, Solihin, Muhaimin, etc. He is the second one on the right.
Coach Abang Mukhlis
Coach Abang Mukhlis, a Gold Medalist in the 1985 SEA Games along with Coach Abang Saad, also an ex national boxer, will be coming down to the gym on certain days
Coach Gasznne
We're thrilled to welcome Coach Gasznne to the Kadir's Boxing School team! His extensive fitness background is sure to be a game-changer for our boxers. Coach Gasznne isn't just about improving conditioning – he's about taking it to the next level. Get ready to push your limits, build longer endurance, as Coach Gasznne forte is in strength conditioning. He was also a National lifesaving athlete from 2005 to 2020 and National Coach for lifesaving in 2019.
